Do you know God?

The 10 Commandments were given to the Israelites in order to bring them life. We often take the commandments at surface level, but there is so much more depth to them. The third commandment is more than just a prohibition against cursing or swearing falsely, it is a call to represent God well, and in order to do that we have to know Him.

Group Life Questions:

1) Read Exodus 20:7 together as a group. Have everyone share how they would interpret this commandment.

2) When have you taken up the name of God in vain in your worship, actions, or words?

3) How real is God to you in your everyday life?

4) What are you actively doing to get to know God better?

5) What is one practice you will try this week to get to know God better?
