CHILDREN'S MINISTRY

kids who accept jesus receive the power of the Holy Spirit. not Holy Spirit, Jr.

We believe kids are important to God and are some of the most vital members of any faith community. When a child decides to follow Jesus, they don’t receive Holy Spirit, Jr. — they receive the Holy Spirit, who empowers them to live for God and love others. Through our ministries, we seek to empower and strengthen children in the areas of prayer, spiritual growth and the sharing of their faith by learning the story of the Bible, worshiping together, and having fun!

birth-pre K

sunday 9am & 10:45am

Even our littlest ones need to hear about God’s love! Every Sunday, from infants to Pre-K, our trained volunteers sing songs, read stories from God’s Word, and lead intentional faith-filled play with our preschoolers.

SUNDAY 9AM & 10:45AM

Kingdom Kids

wednesday 6:30pm-8pm

Every Wednesday night during the school year, kids are welcome to come and worship Jesus, play in Scotty’s Playhouse, discover more about God’s Word, and build relationships with one another in small groups. Kingdom Kids is for ages Infant-5th grade.

Baptism

We believe that kids can truly accept Christ as their savior and begin living a life of obedience! As a new disciple, their next step (just like adults) is to be baptized! We walk each kid through a baptism curriculum to make sure that they understand the commitment they are making and help answer any questions they might have.

Child Dedications

We believe in partnering with families to encourage them as they commit to following Jesus and teaching their kids to know and love Jesus. We regularly provide parents the opportunity to share publicly their dedication in teaching their kids about God.

Discovery Zone Child Development Center (DZ) is a place where children can thrive and families can be supported. We believe that every child is unique and has the ability to live a life of purpose. Our goal is to help them discover that purpose, be confident in it, and learn how to express themselves in the world around them through that lens. We also believe that families play a pivotal role in this journey, and we are passionate about making sure our families feel supported, encouraged, and partnered with by our staff.

Scotty’s Playhouse stands in honor of Scott Banke, Karina Hargis, and Grace Blanchard—three children who, by some standards, left this world far too early. A large mural, rising thirty feet above the floor memorializes the lives of these three children and others. The 3,000 square foot playhouse also contains an indoor play structure, video game floor, air hockey, as well as a tot lot for younger kids and a café seating area for adults. Scotty’s Playhouse is a gift to all children in this community from the parents of those the children, from the See Ya Later Foundation and from the Church on the Hill family.
