Jesus is fully God, fully human, and the life-giver.  As God, Jesus defeats the power of sin over us. This is done through His death and resurrection and by being the perfect, unblemished sacrifice. That is what is necessary to pay the price for our sin.

By being a human being, Jesus was able to take our place.  He was able to pay the price for our sins (a sacrifice always must be made for sin in order to restore relationship with God); in this way, Jesus’ sacrifice for us was real and legitimate.  “This” is our HOPE — we don’t have “to be that way” anymore and we don’t have “to do that” anymore. #HillChurchMcminnville
