HERE AT CHURCH ON THE HILL, WE ARE committed to ...
Developing spiritually healthy disciples who Know God, Find Freedom, Discover Purpose and Play A Role.
what we believe
OUR core values

prayer first
spiritual growth & Health
The Pray First ministry at Church on the Hill exists to make prayer the central part of every ministry and activity. Through prayer, we depend on the Holy Spirit, wage war against the darkness, witness to our community and strengthen our relationships with one another.
The goal of every attender at Church on the Hill should be to grow deeper in their walk with Christ and pursue spiritual health.
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.” - Philippians 4:6 NIV
“Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts.” - Acts 2:46 NIV

serving
multiplication
Our first priority is to serve the needs of our local body while building a bridge with others in our community. We value showing kindness and compassion by ministering to the needs of Yamhill County and beyond.
We value servant leadership and the development of new lay-leaders and ministers. We believe in developing group life and seeking as the method for multiplication and in seeking new opportunities for the ministry to expand and develop beyond our current structure.
“After that, He poured water into a basin and began to wash His disciples’ feet, drying them with the towel that was wrapped around Him.” - John 13:5 NIV
“So Christ Himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors, and teachers, to equip His people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature...” - Ephesians 4:11-13

OUR MINISTRIES

ADULT DISCIPLESHIP & RECOVERY MINISTRY
The call of a Christ follower requires that we die to self, to submit to the work of the Spirit, and to be unleashed to be used by God to play our role in His radical story of restoration. We at Church on the Hill are committed to challenging you, equipping you, and cheering you on as you walk out your powerful testimony and help others do the same.
Our Discipleship & Recovery ministry exists to become a network of people and environments that help each person take the next step in their discipleship and recovery journey.

YOUNG ADULT MINISTRY
KINGDOM MINDED is a young adult seeking to further the Kingdom, build community, foster spiritual growth and walk with other young adults. Each Wednesday from 8:30-10 p.m. in Room 112, they host their Bible Study and group discussion.
On the final Wednesday of every month, they host a young adult worship night at*;30 p.m. in the sanctuary here at Church on the Hill.
They also host multiple fellowship nights (game nights, movie nights, events, etc) and worships nights each month! This is a great opportunity for young adults to get to know each other and build community. To get connected, contact Isaac Kearns at ikearns@hillchurch.com.

HIGHPOINT YOUTH MINISTRY
Highpoint is designed to become a community of middle school and high school students who live and love like Jesus and invite others into a life of belonging with Christ. We believe when students find a place of acceptance, they begin to move forward in discovering who Jesus is and what the life Jesus created them to live looks like.

KIDS MINISTRY
We believe kids are important to God and are some of the most vital members of any faith community. When a child decides to follow Jesus, they don’t receive Holy Spirit, Jr. — they receive the Holy Spirit, who empowers them to live for God and love others. Through our ministries, kids have the opportunity to Know God, Find Freedom, Discover Purpose, and Play a Role in God’s story by learning the story of the Bible, worshiping together, and having fun!

MINISTERIO LATINO
LATINO MINISTRY
Our Latino services are now every Sunday at 2:00 p.m. in The Foundry. Praise God for the amazing growth in this ministry this past year!
During the months of October and November we will have "Connection Groups", which is a time to pray for each other in different homes, learn more about the life of the Church, know the plan that God has for us and share life with family of faith. If you want more information or have a prayer request, send us an email to latino@hillchurch.com.

group life
We believe true life change happens best in the context of real relationships, which are best developed in Small Groups. Being a Christian means being a part of the Body of Christ. We believe that Small Groups are the model by which God intended His people to accomplish His good works on earth through.
Our Small Groups typically meet weekly or biweekly in places all around our community and provide a place to connect, study God's Word, develop Spiritual Practices together, and discuss the issues and challenges of life. Regardless of your age, interest, or location, we want to help you find a group for you. Small Groups are also where we pray, care for one another, and are missed if we don’t show up!
