What to Expect on Your First VisitWhen you visit Church on the Hill on Sunday morning for one of our Celebration services, you will find welcoming people. Come wearing what is comfortable for you. Some people dress up, some people dress casual. You will find convenient parking as well as handicapped parking near the front of the building. There is also a drop off area at the front doors. You will be greeted at the door by friendly people who are genuinely glad to see you. Inside you can ask a greeter (usually with a name tag handing out bulletins) about how to find classrooms for your children or any other information you may need. Music is a big part of what happens at Church on the Hill. The purpose of the weekend Celebration Service is to celebrate what God has done in our lives and hear what He has for our future. The music will be contemporary, upbeat, and meaningful. When we take the offering, we clearly let you know that the Church on the Hill and God doesn’t want your money. When He has your heart and you become a part of the committed people to the mission and purpose God has assigned Church on the Hill contributing financially will be a natural outpouring of your relationship with Jesus and your commitment to the Church. But when you are visiting and exploring with us, we encourage you not to contribute to the offering. You will not be pressured to do anything at Church on the Hill. Such decisions will always be left between you and God. After the service we will invite you to turn in a card with your contact information at our Guest Central Welcome Counter. There you will meet a staff member, have a chance to ask questions and when you turn in your card you will be given a gift bag with information and some free gifts. You will also receive a follow-up call after your first visit. Within your first week, we will also deliver you some homemade cookies and additional information as our way of welcoming you. The Church on the Hill is designed to meet your needs. There are programs for kids and every stage of life there after. There are classes available to help you learn about and deepen your faith. However Church on the Hill is modeled after Jesus who didn’t spend much time in a class room. He built a relationship with 12 men to spread a message to a world of people generation after generation. The Church on the Hill then is committed to groups of people building relationships with each other to do the same. Small groups, classes, individual mentoring, fun events and activities, and additional Church services offering different styles and teaching are available for you. So explore this site, explore Church on the Hill, and welcome!
